A dealership NEVER loses money and in fact they make money that the public isn&#039;t even aware of with rebates, hold-back money, reconditioning fees, etc:
The banks that fund the deals give some hefty prizes and all of the packages such as GAP insurance &amp; extended warranties make plenty of money for dealerships.
One place I worked for sold something called a &quot;desert package&quot; which was supposed to be extra protection for the vehicle in &quot;hot&quot; climates. This was a dealership joke because NOTHING EXTRA was ever done to the cars whatsoever.</description>
