There’s no symbol more iconic and known the world over than the three circles which make up the icon for everyone’s favorite mouse, Mickey Mouse. Three circles, nothing complex… pretty simple in fact.
As a self-proclaimed Disney fan, when I saw a package of Birdseye frozen pasta with Mickey Mouse on the bag, so I had to pick one up and cook it at dinner time.

Instead of shaping the pasta in the above mentioned simple three circle shape, Birdseye had the bright idea to make the pasta a more complex image of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Recipe for disaster coming up.
The picture of the pasta on the bag looks like our favorite characters, but like that great looking Big Mac we see on television, there is a stark difference between marketing and reality.
Here’s how my Mickey and Minnie Mouse pasta turned out:

It’s pretty safe to say there is absolutely no connection between what’s on the plate and the cartoon mouse. It’s just clumps of pasta in an unrecognizable shape.
Hey Birdseye, maybe it’s time to take this back to the drawing board and go back to something simple. Like three circles.
